GFRP cable trays

Glass-reinforced polymer cable trays are used for routing and protecting cable lines for various applications. The cable trays are certified for quality and compliance with applicable safety standards. All cable tray structures are manufactured according to patented designs and can withstand a load-bearing capacity of up to 329 kg/m. Resistant to fire and corrosion, the interlocking cable trays can be operated at temperatures ranging from -60 to +85 °C and have a service life of at least 30 years.

The most common types of cable trays include:

  • Ladder-type cable trays (cable trays with crossbars). Ladder-type cable trays consist of two polymer elements joined together by locking fasteners.
  • Solid-bottom cable trays (provide maximum fire safety). They limit the access of air and dust to the cable.

All glass-reinforced polymer cable tray systems have undergone testing on a dedicated test stand.

Features of cable trays

Polymer cable trays are certified for compliance with:

  • GOST R 53313–2009;
  • GOST R 52868–2007;
  • Technical Specifications TU 27.33.13-002-39082310–2020.

The main purpose of plastic cable trays is to protect the cable itself and ensure the safety of personnel. A secondary function is to provide an aesthetically pleasing appearance, as cable trays for cable routes are often used for open installations.

Outdoor cable trays feature a modular design, allowing cable routes to be installed by connecting the trays to each other using locking mechanisms. Additional adapters and swivel elements make the structure as aesthetically pleasing as possible while, most importantly, ensuring ease and safety of maintenance. Cable trays can be used to create various combinations of angled and swivel sections. For example, cable trays can be installed along vertical or horizontal lines. This allows complex structures of various configurations to be created.

All cable trays in our catalogue are durable and available in two modifications:

  1. ХС — chemical resistance.
  2. ХС+ — enhanced chemical resistance.

Applications of cable trays

Cable trays manufactured at our plant help reduce the costs of installation, operation and modernization of cable routes. They are used for arranging communication or electrical systems. Reinforced cable trays can be used for cable routing, for example, at industrial facilities where:

  • there is an increased risk of corrosion;
  • the environment is hazardous and aggressive (gas, oil, chemicals);
  • structures are located in adverse environments.

Advantages of interlocking cable trays

Cable trays for cable routes offer the following advantages:

  • Fire resistance (comply with fire safety requirements in accordance with GOST R 52868–2007).

  • Low weight.

  • Electrical safety for company personnel (during installation, repair and maintenance of cable lines).

  • Colour stability (cable trays do not require regular painting).

  • Cable protection (against deformation and damage).

  • Resistance to various aggressive environments (acids, ultraviolet radiation, salt water, etc.).

  • Easy operation (quick and easy installation and maintenance of equipment).

  • Ability to withstand sudden temperature fluctuations (within the range from -60 to +85 °C).

  • Corrosion resistance (interlocking cable trays do not require additional protection after a certain period of operation).

  • Ensuring stable operation of the cable line (as well as reliable protection against adverse external factors).

  • Dielectric properties (all solutions are made of dielectric material and do not require special grounding measures).

  • Resistance to permanent deformation (under operating load, the reinforced cable tray quickly returns to its original shape).

  • High load-bearing capacity (comparable to similar metal products — up to 500 kg load-bearing capacity).

  • Reduced costs (for purchasing additional equipment and components required to organize complex cable routes).

We offer plastic cable trays at competitive prices and provide services in St Petersburg and throughout Russia, with convenient ordering and delivery terms. We offer complete cable tray sets with covers, clamping brackets and connecting plates.

If you are interested in the price per metre of a particular type of cable tray, would like to calculate the required quantity of materials or consult us regarding design costs, please contact us in any convenient way and receive answers to your questions from an expert.
