01 Description
ProtectorFlex® VZK cable protection funnels minimize cable sheath damage occurring during pulling and during further operation of the cable line.
During pulling cable into the pipe, the ends of the pipe sections actively impact the sheath and end of the cable and can cause significant deformations. During cable pulling, the sharp pipe edge cuts longitudinal grooves into the cable sheath and also damages the protective end caps on the cable ends.
The pipe edge affects the sheath not only during pulling but also after completion of cable line laying. The cable, under its own weight and the weight of the overlying soil and equipment, rests on the pipe edge, and it compresses the sheath, causing transverse deformation.
