01 Description
ProtectorFlex® PKES manholes are polymer watertight cable manholes, manufactured by rotational molding technology (type R manhole) or optionally manufactured from spiral-wound pipe (type S manhole), including:
- Manhole body with neck
- Manhole cover
- Modifications

Intended for watertight fire-resistant cable ducting when arranging bends, connections and maintenance of power cable lines and FO communication lines. Manholes can also be used for placement of electrotechnical equipment.

The quantity, size, and location of pipe sleeves for cable bushing are specified when ordering the manhole. Other manhole dimensions are available upon customer request. Manholes with dimensions different from those indicated in the table are manufactured from a spiral-wound pipe (type S manholes).

- Smooth-walled pipes are connected by welding them to the manhole sleeves using electrofusion couplers
- Corrugated pipes are connected with bell-type joints*
- The manhole is installed on a concrete bottom slab for leveling the manhole in the pit, and also to prevent flotation
- When installing under roads, the installation of relief slabs above the manhole and layer- by- layer soil compaction are required
* Bell-type connection sealed with rings have IP66.
